Data is the input for models and needs to be prepared as such. Data preparation is the procedure of transforming raw data into data that can be used for modelling purposes. Aspects are aggregating to the appropriate levels, solving for outliers and missings and removing irrelevant data.
As RiskQuest we have extensive knowledge on data preparation. For each model we develop or test, data is the key ingredient. We created model reference data sets for clients as part of model developments, we made data quality testing tools.
