I enjoy dealing with all kinds of complex mathematical problems and converting these problems into a tractable solution, preferably using python. I focus on the use of machine learning in the combat against financial crime, to ensure financial institutes comply with the Wwft. Machine learning can feel like a black-box, hence I aim to make models explainable and robust. I appreciate an open and enthusiastic relationship with colleagues and clients, and will always try to contribute to that.

Play

I have a deep love for good wine and food, I like cooking and I’m even in a “cooking club”. Although, sometimes I enjoy to eat in a restaurant with friends even more. Besides that I play field hockey, I play the piano and I read books, preferably from Dutch or Flemish writers.
